1Who I am

This website is run by Sunly Digital (ABN 84 300 787 913), a web design and SEO business based in Melbourne, Australia. In this policy, "I", "me" and "my" means Sunly Digital.

I take your privacy seriously and aim to handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

2What I collect

Information you give me. When you use the contact form or email me, I collect what you choose to share, usually:

• your name and email address
• your business name (optional)
• what you need help with and any details in your message

If we work together, I may also collect details needed to deliver your project and invoice you, such as a phone number, business address, and logins or content for your website.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, the servers that host this site keep standard technical logs (such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit) for security and to keep the site running. I don't use these to identify you.

3How I use it

• to reply to your enquiry and answer your questions
• to prepare a quote and deliver the work we agree on
• to send invoices and keep business records
• to keep this website secure and working properly

I won't send you marketing emails unless you've asked for them, and I never sell or rent your personal information.

4Who I share it with

I only share your information with services I need to run the website and my business:

• Formspree, which processes contact form messages and forwards them to my inbox. Formspree is based in the United States.
• My website host (Hostinger), which stores this website and its technical logs. Its servers may be located outside Australia.
• My email provider, where our emails are stored.
• Google Fonts, which delivers the fonts used on this site. Your browser connects to Google's servers to load them, which shares your IP address with Google.

Because some of these providers are overseas, your information may be stored or processed outside Australia. I choose reputable providers with their own privacy and security practices.

I may also disclose information if required by law.

5Cookies & browser storage

This site doesn't use advertising or tracking cookies. Your browser stores one small note for the current visit so the welcome animation only plays once. It's deleted when you close the tab and doesn't identify you.

Some essential cookies may be set by WordPress or my host for security and performance. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site will still work.

6How long I keep it

I keep enquiries for as long as needed to respond and follow up, and client records for as long as required for tax and business purposes (generally up to 5 years in Australia). After that, I delete them.

7Keeping it safe

I take reasonable steps to protect your information, including secure (HTTPS) connections, strong passwords and two-factor authentication where available, and only using trusted providers. No online system is 100% secure, but I'll always handle your details with care.

8Your choices

You can ask me at any time to:

• tell you what personal information I hold about you
• correct anything that's wrong or out of date
• delete your information, unless I need to keep it by law

You don't have to give me any personal information, but I'll need at least a way to contact you to reply to an enquiry.

9Questions & complaints

If you have a question or concern about your privacy, email me at hello@sunlydigital.com.au and I'll get back to you within a reasonable time, usually a few business days.

If you're not happy with my response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.

I may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date at the top.
